Ten for Creativity Day.11

project create copyMonday, Monday…. I had a busy, but nice weekend.

I can’t believe all the flooding that is happening in the central Tennessee area, which until last month, we called home.  Praying for those affected by these serious storms.

We’re kicking off week three of Project: Ten for Creativity and I’d love to hear from you.  So, if you would be so kind to take a second and share some feedback.

  • Are you feeling more creative?
  • What are you finding to be the biggest obstacle/challenge?
  • Are you taking time daily to nurture your creativity?
  • What kind of activities would you like to see more?
  • What questions do you have?
  • Do you have some suggestions for a 10forcreativity guest post?
  • Have you discovered new things about yourself?

Day.11 Oh, the things you do… List & Do

Sometimes, I find that it’s hard for people to make time for the things that they really enjoy doing.  Perhaps the culprit is guilt or the demands of life get in the way?  Or maybe, we lose sight of what we genuinely love to do.  I’m a huge believer in making time for the things you love and for taking time to just be.

I’m looking at two books, sitting on the ledge in front of my desk, 14,000 things to be happy about and 2,001 things to do before you die.  I love books like that. I love the idea of making the most of life and finding great beauty in small things all around us.

My friend Erin, from college, was the first person I knew who ever kept a list journal, now you can buy them in the store.  She had lists of places to visit, books to read, names she loved, movies she saw, boys she liked, dreams she had, etc.  I started keeping my own after I saw that.  I filled it quickly.  I need a new one.

Today, let’s play in list making land.

Perhaps, you want to start a new list journal, hand write it, print it out, or just put it in your blog.

Make a list of 20 things you like to do. Yes, twenty. 1, 2, 3….20.  After you compile your list, go back and write down the last time you did that item.  Obviously, approximate dates will be fine.  If you simply can’t remember, put a question mark.

Now that you have your list, are you shocked at how long it has been since you actually took the time to do the things you love?  Today, is a perfect day to change that.

If you want to share your lists, I’d love to see them.  I promise to help encourage you to start doing some of those things again… because I love seeing people live intentional lives.

With the past, I have nothing to do; nor with the future.  I live now.  ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

  1. I don't know why I missed this one, but I would LOVE to give feedback. :)
Yes, I'm feeling WAY more creative than I have in the past few months. My biggest challenge is to NOT do this at 11:30 or past at night...I'm trying to remember that I need to sleep to, and being creative can be done during the DAY. But yes, I am taking the time to make sure I'm nuturing my creativity, even if it happens to be later at night. When I have an idea I would love to be a 10forcreativity guest, but not yet, I dont feel like I have any good ideas. New things? I like to sew, alot. I have a couple of ideas I'm working on to see if I can create some cool dresses/skirts/shirts. :)

I look forward to 10forcreativity everyday.
